Lee Katz

Dr. Lee Katz is an Enteric Disease Bioinformatician (EDBI) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). He was a founding member of the CDC-wide Bioinformatics group BITCOP. He is also responsible for maintaining hardware at the Enteric Disease Laboratory Branch.

Dr. Katz is an alumnus of the MS Bioinformatics program at Georgia Tech, after which he stayed on to earn a Ph.D., working on developing computational tools for molecular epidemiology and comparative genomics of Neisseria meningitidisis.
